Power loss minimization and voltage profile improvement of radial and mesh distribution network using sine cosine optimization based DG allocation

Due to the increasing population and emerging technologies, energy requirements are progressively. Distributed generation (DG) is an excellent option handle increased power demand. A well optimized DG can help reduce losses, CO2 emission improve voltage profiles. This paper uses sine cosine algorithm find optimal location best size ofDG with loss minimization as its objective function. It presents comparison of reduction profile enhancement due allocation DGoperating at 0.85, 0.95 factor lag andthe that has been obtained by cosineoptimization. IEEE 15, 69 bus radial 33, weakly meshed systems five tie lines used for analysis. Annual saving allocating different factors have analyzed. All results simulated in MATLAB 2021a.
